Senior Mobile Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and scale patient-facing mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Own end-to-end delivery of mobile features from design through release and monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Design, and backend engineering to create intuitive, reliable experiences.
• Evolve mobile architecture and improve engineering quality through testing and performance optimization.
• Make project tradeoffs, communicate rationale, and surface risks early.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building production mobile applications.
• 3+ years of experience with React Native, TypeScript, and modern React development.
• Experience shipping mobile features end-to-end.
• Working knowledge of native iOS using Swift or Objective-C and Android using Kotlin or Java.
• Ability to own projects from design through delivery and communicate scope and estimates.
• Strong collaboration skills with teammates and cross-functional partners.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, including understanding their benefits, risks, and need for human judgment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the App Store and Google Play.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD and automated release pipelines.
• Experience building AI-powered or LLM-enabled mobile features.
• Familiarity with mobile observability and crash-reporting tools such as Datadog, Crashlytics, or Sentry.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range of $166,000–$203,000.
