About the role
Impact You Will Have
Lead a team of Field Engineers to deliver high-impact technical engagements with customers, driving adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
Develop and execute strategies for pre-sales technical support, including workshops, proofs of concept, and architectural guidance.
Collaborate with sales teams to close complex deals by providing technical expertise and demonstrating platform value.
Mentor and grow the field engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and customer obsession.
Identify and mitigate technical risks in customer implementations to ensure successful outcomes.
Contribute to product feedback loops by sharing customer insights with engineering and product teams.
What We Look For
8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership capacity.
Deep expertise in data, analytics, AI, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and distributed systems.
Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing technical teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at executive levels.
Demonstrated ability to drive technical sales cycles and deliver measurable business outcomes for customers.
Passion for data and AI technologies, with hands-on experience using tools like Apache Spark, SQL, Python, or similar.
