Founding engineer building and scaling a computational biology platform for AI-powered drug discovery, owning infrastructure, ML services, APIs, and web interfaces while collaborating with founders and users. Requires AWS DevOps, MLOps, and React expertise; onsite in SF.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with founders to design, build, and scale infrastructure, APIs, and web interface.
- Own major pieces of the stack end-to-end, from architecture to deployment.
- Ship features impacting scientists and customers.
- Maintain and expand core systems for computational biology tooling, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Partner on product decisions, scope experiments, and ship quickly.
- Build/operate services (infra + ML + web) and iterate with customer feedback.
- Mix of coding, design reviews, and practical deployment work.
- Work directly with users to understand needs and translate feedback into improvements.
Requirements
- Adaptability to diverse problems (batch HPC scaling, frontend development, automated fine-tuning).
- AWS DevOps (DynamoDB, EC2, S3, Docker).
- MLOps (CUDA, Conda, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Front-end development (React/Vercel).
- Willingness to learn biology-ML models.
- Located in SF Bay Area or able to relocate.
