Analytics Engineer

Build dashboards, define metrics, and partner with AI/product teams to drive data-informed decisions on customer interactions and agent performance. Requires 3+ years experience, strong SQL/dbt skills, and warehouse experience.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep dive analysis and develop internal reports and dashboards to inform key product and business decisions
  • Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and AI Product Specialists to provide data-driven insights that inform how AI agents are built, tuned, and evaluated for individual customers
  • Inform how key metrics should be calculated and presented in the Regal app
  • Use AI coding agents to accelerate analysis and data discovery
  • Create and maintain documentation of business metrics and the data model

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as an analytics engineer, data analyst or management consultant
  • Fluent writing SQL and using dbt
  • Experience with any modern warehouse; ClickHouse/Snowflake are preferred
  • Comfortable working with Looker or a comparable dashboarding tool
  • Passionate about data access and empowering others to make decisions with data
  • Excited to work alongside AI tools - not just using them, but improving their outputs by rigorously reviewing, refining, and iterating on AI-generated code and analyses
  • Enthusiastic about the fast-paced work environment of an early-stage startup
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to tell a story with data
