Responsibilities
- Own the People Operations operating model, including workflows across People Ops, People Partners, Recruiting, Finance, and Legal.
- Define decision rights, service-level agreements, and the system of record for people information.
- Evolve HR systems and data foundations for accuracy, auditability, and business usability.
- Design scalable employee support and knowledge-management processes that improve self-service resolution.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and Security on global compliance, risk management, controls, policies, and audit readiness.
- Develop vendor and partner strategy, including decisions about outsourcing versus in-house ownership.
- Set metrics, prioritize high-leverage improvements, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Own HRIS operations, data integrity, workflows, reporting, and change management.
- Ensure consistent onboarding and offboarding across geographies, including right-to-work checks where applicable.
- Partner with Finance and benefits stakeholders on US payroll operations and benefits administration, including Open Enrollment.
- Maintain global policies and support audit readiness across geographies.
- Manage operational workflows and partnerships for visas, relocations, and work authorizations.
- Run inbound employee support and maintain a self-service knowledge base.
- Manage key vendors and renewals, including EOR, benefits, and compliance-support partners.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in People Operations or HR operations in a scaling organization.
- Experience leading teams or working as a hands-on player-coach in a small, high-output People function.
- Deep HRIS experience, including system configuration, data governance, workflows, and reporting; Rippling is preferred.
- Prior ownership or oversight of US benefits and payroll operations, with UK and Mexico experience a strong plus.
- Vendor-management experience related to international expansion, including EOR, HR administration, benefits, or compliance partners.
- Ability to learn and apply employment-law and compliance requirements across geographies; US experience is required, with UK/EU exposure and Mexico familiarity preferred.
- Willingness to work from an office 4 days per week.
Compensation and Benefits
- The role is based in Mexico City and supports global operations, with approximately 60–70% US operations and 30–40% global operations across Mexico, the UK/Europe, and Australia.
