Product Manager

Requirements

• Significant experience owning technically complex products across identity, authentication, authorization, developer platforms, or infrastructure.
• Track record of setting product direction in ambiguous problem spaces, aligning teams around a clear strategy, and turning strategy into shipped products.
• Strong knowledge of modern identity systems and open standards, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, passkeys, service accounts, roles, permissions, and policy-based access control.
• Technical fluency, including the ability to engage credibly with engineers on platform architecture, APIs, data models, security boundaries, and identity protocols.
• Strong product sense and systems thinking, with the ability to prioritize authentication, authorization, and identity needs while building simple, scalable primitives.
• Exceptional communication skills and sound judgment when navigating difficult tradeoffs.
• Deep appreciation for personal and enterprise users, builders configuring applications, and end users interacting with applications.

Responsibilities

• Represent users by developing a deep understanding of identity needs across existing and newly created applications.
• Own product strategy and roadmap for authentication, authorization, and identity.
• Define standards-based primitives for users, organizations, agents, roles, permissions, policies, sessions, and delegated access.
• Shape a smooth identity experience for builders configuring applications and the people using them.
• Partner with engineering to balance individual-builder and enterprise needs while preserving simplicity and scalability.
• Define how AI agents and other non-human identities authenticate, receive authority, act on behalf of users, and remain understandable and controllable.
• Own identity and access needs for programmatic use across API, CLI, SDK, and MCP surfaces.
• Validate functionality through user feedback and metrics, and prioritize the right scope.
• Partner with engineering to shape and deliver a multi-tenant identity service built on open standards for authentication and authorization across millions of applications.
