Electrical Design Engineer, Data Centers, R&D
Design and engineer electrical distribution systems for AI data centers from medium voltage to the rack. Run power studies in ETAP/SKM, develop equipment specifications, and support field builds and energization.
About the job
Engineer data center electrical distribution in the reference design: medium voltage through busway to the rack.
- Run the studies: load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash owned in ETAP or SKM.
- Develop equipment specs: switchgear, transformers, UPS, and busway packages evaluated and integrated.
- Support builds: field questions answered same-day, as-built deltas engineered back into the reference.
Requirements
- Designed electrical distribution for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Run your own studies and stand behind the settings.
- Specified and evaluated major distribution equipment.
- One-lines are current, correct, and buildable.
- Supported energization on designs you drew.
Nice-to-Haves
- ETAP or SKM depth.
- Medium voltage design.
- UPS and static transfer systems.
- NEC mastery.
