Senior Product Design Manager
Leads and grows Scale AI’s enterprise product design team, setting design direction, managing designers, and partnering with Product and Engineering to improve high-stakes, data-dense workflows. The role requires product design management experience, strong customer-centered practice, and familiarity with AI-agent interaction patterns.

Responsibilities
- Set the direction for Enterprise design, defining exceptional design for Scale's Applications customers and expert contributors.
- Translate the broader design vision into a clear direction for the team.
- Hire, develop, and lead a growing team of product designers.
- Establish team culture and operating rhythms that support high-quality work.
- Drive design execution across the Enterprise product in partnership with Product and Engineering.
- Ensure design is involved from problem scoping through delivery.
- Uphold design principles and quality standards while maintaining delivery speed.
- Contribute to Scale's shared design system through consistent component use and pattern development.
- Build research habits and cadences grounded in enterprise customer and user needs.
- Shape interaction patterns for enterprise users working alongside AI agents and human-in-the-loop systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing product design teams.
- Proven ability to simplify data-dense, power-user workflows into elegant B2B solutions.
- Strong customer-centric approach with experience connecting design decisions to user needs and business impact.
- Understanding of how AI is changing design practice and tooling, including AI-native team workflows.
- Experience designing for agentic platforms and human-in-the-loop AI systems.
- Ability to balance speed and quality, prioritize effectively, and maintain a high craft standard.
- Excellent communication skills across leadership and cross-functional product teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $292,000–$292,000 USD.
- Compensation may include base salary, equity, and benefits; the final offer depends on location, skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and education or training.
- Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, generous paid time off, and potentially a commuter stipend.
