Senior Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective and existing clients to assess technical needs and recommend appropriate models and services.
• Prepare and deliver presentations explaining technical products to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions meeting client requirements.
• Gather client insights to inform product development and identify innovation opportunities.
• Serve as lead technical advisor to enterprise customers and strategic AI model providers, translating business requirements into scalable architectures on the fal.ai platform.
• Cultivate deep technical relationships with Chinese AI model providers, acting as primary technical point of contact.
• Design, prototype, and validate reference architectures and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Business Development on go-to-market strategies.
• Provide technical guidance during pre-sales and post-sales cycles, including discovery, PoCs, and deployment planning.
• Intervene to unblock strategic customer deals with deep technical expertise.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, partner events, and developer meetups (including in Greater China).
• Gather and deliver product feedback from customers and partners to inform roadmap.
• Develop technical documentation, best-practice guides, and enablement materials.
• Stay current with trends in generative AI, LLMs, diffusion models, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in technical customer-facing or partner-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, Software Consultant, Senior Application Engineer, or related).
• 10 years managing full sales cycle technical engagements (discovery, PoCs, RFP/RFI, production deployment, roadmap planning).
• 10 years designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting cloud computing and private datacenter infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware), containerization, microservices, and APIs.
• 8 years post-sales technical engagement architecting scalable, secure enterprise solutions.
• 7 years delivering technical presentations and sales engagements to C-suite, engineering teams, and IT on AI inference, performance optimization, and algorithm processing.
• 6 years designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• 5 years deploying and integrating solutions within the Chinese technology ecosystem (Alibaba Cloud, Tencent, Baidu, ByteDance, Chinese AI startups/labs/model providers).
• 5 years coding for inference with Python and SQL to deploy AI models on cloud infrastructure.
• 5 years collaborating with Global/Regional System Integrators (GSIs/RSIs) and cloud providers on AI/ML deployment and cloud scaling.
• 3 years tailoring AI models (LLMs, diffusion, multimodal), inference optimization, MLOps, and GPU infrastructure.
• Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
• Experience may be gained concurrently. Foreign equivalent degrees acceptable.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with generative AI, large language models, diffusion models.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and GPU infrastructure.
