The Opportunity
Build the next generation of Postman's Identity platform. Set the vision for long-term architecture, own strategy, technical roadmap, and critical KPIs like availability and uptime. Design, implement, and run tier 0 services while mentoring senior engineers and collaborating cross-functionally.
What You'll Do
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership for architecture of highly secure, scalable, reliable systems for millions of developers
- Identify dependencies, review designs for consistency and business support
- Lead delivery on multiple projects with stakeholders
- Build operational excellence with observability, scale, performance focus
- Be hands-on and lead by example
Prioritization and Roadmap
- Partner with Sr. EMs and product leaders
- Help prioritize work and create balanced roadmap
Collaboration
- Work with senior leadership on org design, roadmap, strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally for goals and impact
Mentorship
- Mentor senior engineers
- Build next level of engineering leadership
About You
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong experience with identity standards (SAML, SCIM, SSO, OAuth, FIDO)
- 10+ years hands-on coding (C, C++, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS)
- 10+ years building end-to-end backend services
- Experience leading cross-functional projects with business impact
- Exceptional problem solving, design, analytical skills
- Experience designing highly scalable systems
Compensation: $245,250 - $300,000 plus equity.
