Product Manufacturing Engineer

Leads PCB, PCBA, cabling, and assembly manufacturing from hardware concept through production, coordinating engineering, operations, TPMs, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. The role requires substantial experience with NPI processes, quality controls, high-speed signal testing, supplier execution, and manufacturing data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Drive manufacturing and quality initiatives from concept through launch and mass production, with a focus on PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes.
  • Lead product design and manufacturing processes for next-generation AI hardware systems.
  • Establish NPI manufacturing processes, systems, quality controls, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Drive internal process improvements across teams and functions.
  • Perform hands-on product manufacturing analysis during design, development, testing, prototyping, and production.
  • Research automation techniques and develop tests and systems to improve efficiency.
  • Own manufacturing development for hardware products spanning L6 through potentially L10, including PCBs, PCBAs, cabling, connectorization, and L10 assembly.
  • Support internal and external development through deployment into infrastructure and production workloads at scale.
  • Manage product manufacturing requirements, scope, schedules, and deliverables with engineering teams, TPMs, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to execute programs successfully.
  • Resolve issues, perform risk assessment and mitigation, and manage project changes.
  • Manage multiple projects, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record leading complex projects from concept through production launch.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to execute programs.
  • Knowledge of PCB and PCBA manufacturing technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience integrating engineering validation needs into system builds amid design changes.
  • Experience driving development timelines for new platform introductions and managing internal review processes.
  • Experience driving creativity, quality, and schedule with multinational JDMs, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Deep familiarity with PCB material selection, PCBA, BOM component selection, assembly, rework processes, and relevant equipment.
  • Experience testing ultra-high-speed signals.
  • Ability to capture, analyze, and present manufacturing test data.
  • Experience driving corrective actions.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated approach.
