Responsibilities
- Lead and grow multiple engineering teams spanning AI-powered tools and agents, test infrastructure, data pipelines, and process automation.
- Manage and mentor managers and senior engineers while holding the organization accountable for delivery and quality.
- Set a unified, prioritized roadmap balancing AI agent and tool capabilities with test infrastructure, data pipeline, and process automation needs.
- Identify opportunities where large language models (LLMs) can improve automation, pipelines, or test systems.
- Design and enforce architecture, quality gates, and release processes to ensure tools, pipelines, and AI agents are validated, secure, and reliable before production.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and business leadership to align priorities, scope integrations, and drive organizational adoption.
- Demo and present team tools to internal stakeholders, attract new internal customers, and grow the portfolio of supported products and use cases.
- Build and improve planning, release management, quality assurance, and reporting processes for predictable, scalable delivery.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of experience in software engineering or applied AI, including experience managing managers and/or multiple engineering teams.
- Solid practical knowledge of LLMs and applied AI, with experience delivering AI-driven solutions to business problems.
- Experience designing and shipping production AI agent or automation systems, including architecture, tool and integration contracts, and validation processes.
- Experience with test infrastructure, data pipeline design, and process automation.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs, present to senior stakeholders, align priorities, and drive adoption across teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience operating AI-driven automation or triage tools in production with measurable quality or accuracy metrics.
- Background in complex, safety-critical, or high-uptime operational environments.
- Experience managing distributed or contractor engineering teams.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $180,000–$225,000.
