Builds AI agents, context pipelines, developer documentation, and educational technical content for PostHog’s Wizard & Docs team. The role combines production software development, AI engineering, systems thinking, and strong developer communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Make technologies explainable and legible to humans and AI agents.
  • Maintain and design knowledge bases.
  • Engineer and orchestrate context pipelines.
  • Build and ship agents powered by these systems.
  • Work on the AI Wizard, an AI onboarding agent.
  • Build custom agents, harnesses, skills, context pipelines, and MCPs for production.
  • Maintain developer documentation and knowledge bases using docs-as-code and AI engineering techniques.
  • Create technical content through documentation, example applications, and video explainers.
  • Create publishing workflows, such as changelog streams.
  • Collaborate with other teams so they can build on these systems.

Requirements

  • Software development experience, including writing production code.
  • Proficiency with LLMs, coding agents, MCPs, and current AI engineering tools.
  • A portfolio of technical content, such as a personal website, GitHub profile, YouTube channel, or similar.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience creating educational content for developers.
  • An opinionated perspective on creating effective documentation for humans and AI.
  • Ability to teach and communicate complex technology clearly.
  • Full-stack software development experience through professional work, side projects, or open source.
  • Ability to work across writing, software development, information architecture, diagrams, agents, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Systems thinking across documentation, skills, agent execution, and product changes.
  • Bias toward action and comfort iterating quickly in an autonomous, fast-moving environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a technical writer who ships code and builds features.
  • Developer advocacy experience combined with substantial software development.
  • Software engineering experience with an interest in technical content and education.
  • Solutions or growth engineering experience creating educational content.
  • Instructional or content design experience with strong technical skills.
