Staff Solutions Architect, New Logo
Leads customer-facing technical engagements for Temporal’s New Logo team, advising prospects and customers on distributed-system architectures, platform fit, prototypes, and production deployment. Partners with Account Executives and technical decision-makers to drive adoption and expansion.

Responsibilities
- Help prospects determine whether their applications are suitable for Temporal.
- Explain the technical benefits and drawbacks of the Temporal platform and cloud service.
- Position Temporal against alternative technologies and technical patterns.
- Enable customer engineering organizations to expand production applications using Temporal.
- Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute account plans.
- Own relationships with customer technical decision-makers evaluating and operating Temporal applications.
- Advise Sales Account Executives on use-case fit, opportunity scoping and sizing, and technical risks.
- Travel 25–50%.
Requirements
- Excellent technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
- Experience discussing distributed systems, design decisions, and best practices.
- Ability to construct application prototypes and provide design, development, build, and deployment guidance using Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, or PHP.
- Knowledge of operating production applications, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
- Ability to advise customers on application patterns and platform architecture.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider and common application development and production services.

- Ability to become effective without sales-specific training.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers at customer organizations.
- Ability to coach customers and help others communicate technical concepts effectively.
