Founding PLG & Community Lead

The Founding PLG & Community Lead will own AgentMail’s community growth engine, including developer communities, social strategy, events, user-generated content, and product-led growth experiments. The role requires strong cross-functional execution, technical curiosity, and experience building authentic developer communities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and allocate the budget across all product-led growth efforts.
  • Manage Discord and Reddit presence through useful, credible participation that builds trust with builders and AI models reading those communities.
  • Develop posting strategy for LinkedIn and X, including messaging and frequency.
  • Use PostHog to understand signup behavior and design and run funnel and activation experiments.
  • Lead the events program, including hackathon sponsorships, conferences, dinners, and making the San Francisco office a gathering place for the agent ecosystem.
  • Find and amplify builders creating interesting projects with AgentMail through user-generated and social content.
  • Amplify launches across community channels.
  • Ship quickly alongside founders and engineers, taking ideas from concept to live experiment within the same week.

Requirements

  • Extroverted and enthusiastic about bringing communities together online and in person.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally by default.
  • Willing to express opinions early and challenge decisions when appropriate.
  • Able to investigate messy technical problems, including funnel data, broken demos, and landing-page tests.
  • Understands the difference between authentic participation and astroturfing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Developer relations or community experience at a developer-tools or infrastructure company.
  • Existing standing in AI and agent-builder communities.
  • Comfort appearing on camera.

Compensation

  • $110K–$175K base salary.
  • 0.2%–0.5% equity.
