Principal Product Manager, AI Infrastructure
Own the multi-year vision, architecture, vendor strategy, and economics of Crusoe’s hyperscale storage foundation supporting AI workloads. The role requires 8+ years of technical product or infrastructure experience, deep storage expertise, and the ability to partner with senior engineering leadership.

Responsibilities
- Define the 2–4 year vision and roadmap for the storage foundation across block, file, object, local NVMe, and archival tiers.
- Own the long-term storage architecture and hierarchy.
- Develop the storage stack’s vendor management strategy, including hardware and software vendor selection.
- Set performance, durability, cost-per-usable-TB, and capacity-efficiency targets.
- Define future architecture for larger AI clusters and fleet scale.
- Identify structural limitations and prioritize long-term platform investments.
- Partner with Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture on technical tradeoffs, product requirements, and business rationale.
- Scout emerging storage technologies and vendors and represent storage foundations in leadership reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of technical product management experience or product-minded infrastructure engineering experience.
- Track record of owning architecture-level outcomes at Principal or equivalent scope, focused on cloud storage or related infrastructure.
- Subject matter expertise in storage and credibility with senior infrastructure engineers and architects.
- Strong understanding of hyperscale cloud storage architectures, including block, file, and object storage.
- Experience managing long-term vendor strategy and evaluating in-house software engineering investments for storage hardware and software.
- Understanding of infrastructure economics at scale, including cost per usable TB and capacity efficiency.
- Analytical decision-making and exceptional communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including cloud training and inference workloads.
- Experience with high-performance storage networking, such as RDMA or GPUDirect Storage.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud storage services, or deep knowledge of cloud-native storage at hyperscale.
- Experience managing or mentoring product managers.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range of $285,000–$335,000 plus bonus.
