Responsibilities

  • Support lawyers with first-round markups of investment-related NDAs and commercial contracts.
  • Manage document lifecycles, track deadlines, communicate with counterparties, and assist with execution.
  • Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals on high-volume matters.
  • Develop commercial and legal expertise, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts and progress toward qualification via Bar certification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent preferred.
  • Motivation, curiosity, and eagerness to develop expertise in compliance, contracts, or funds.
  • Strong organization and efficiency, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and proactively flag issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills when working with lawyers, senior paralegals, and client-facing teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior exposure to NDAs or KYC processes.

Compensation

  • Expected cash compensation range: $66,400–$83,000 CAD in Toronto.
  • Equity for all full-time roles and exceptional benefits.
