Responsibilities

  • Prepare initial drafts of LP transfer documents, including transfer agreements, consents, and subscription agreements.
  • Liaise with transfer parties regarding processes and timelines, and assist with execution workflows.
  • Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals to deliver high-quality client service across fast-moving, high-volume matters.
  • Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts and progress toward qualification as a practicing legal professional.

Requirements

  • Eager to learn and grow, with motivation and curiosity to develop expertise in legal practice, including compliance, contracts, or funds.
  • Organized and efficient, able to prioritize, manage competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, works independently when needed, and proactively flags issues.
  • Effective collaborator with lawyers, senior paralegals, and client-facing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate law degree or equivalent preferred.
  • GDL welcome.
  • Prior exposure to LP transfer processes is a plus but not required.
