Staff Product Manager, Growth
Leads LiveKit’s Product-Led Growth squad, owning the developer journey from acquisition through activation, adoption, and expansion. The role requires 8+ years of senior product management experience, strong PLG and quantitative expertise, technical fluency, and cross-functional leadership.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own Product-Led Growth end to end, from developer awareness through onboarding, adoption, and expansion into production workloads.
- Grow the developer population by improving acquisition and the surfaces that turn visitors into builders.
- Own onboarding and activation to help developers reach a real workload, not merely complete a first run.
- Identify accounts gaining traction, understand their needs, and help them scale successfully.
- Drive platform depth by making products such as agent hosting, LiveKit Inference, and Agent Observability natural parts of the developer journey.
- Represent self-serve developers in roadmap decisions, incorporating feedback from documentation and product experiences.
- Define operating metrics for platform health and establish a review cadence with the data team.
- Lead a growth squad spanning product, design, engineering, marketing, and analytics.
- Partner with developer support engineers and marketing across the customer journey.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience at a senior or staff level, ideally owning growth, activation, or retention for a developer-facing or usage-based product.
- Proven Product-Led Growth experience spanning acquisition, onboarding, adoption, and expansion, with experimentation and instrumentation.
- Experience improving usage and depth of engagement, not only signups.
- Technical fluency sufficient to work with developers, use a CLI, and participate in serious technical discussions; production coding is not required.
- Strong quantitative judgment and ability to distinguish meaningful trends from temporary noise.
- Cross-functional influence across product, marketing, support, sales, and engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfort with ambiguity, prioritization, and rapid execution in a small, fast-growing product team.
Nice to Have
- Growth or PLG ownership at a developer tools, API, or infrastructure company.
- Consumer growth experience, especially onboarding, lifecycle, and retention at scale.
- Experience with consumption- or usage-based businesses.
- Experience building onboarding, activation, or first-run experiences for technical products.
- Experience designing high-touch motions for high-value accounts within a self-serve business.
- Familiarity with voice AI, real-time communication, or agent frameworks.
- SQL and data warehouse experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary and equity package.
- Health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Flexible vacation policy.
- Opportunity to contribute to open source alongside world-class engineers.
