Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and mentor more than six software engineers, providing performance feedback and career development support.
• Lead delivery of high-impact engineering projects and operations.
• Establish and improve software development, operational efficiency, and delivery processes.
• Partner with engineering leadership on department strategy, team-wide inefficiencies, and continuous improvement.
• Drive engineering and technology management initiatives, including hiring, career development, policies, and budgets.
• Sponsor engineering-wide guilds, projects, and activities.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, Marketing, and other engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Recruit, hire, and lead diverse engineering teams.
• Work effectively on remote, distributed teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1–2+ years of combined technical leadership or people management experience.
• Experience developing and managing web applications.
• Strong project management skills and a record of making tradeoffs to deliver projects on time and with high quality.
• Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams or domains.
• Ability to make progress in ambiguous situations with minimal guidance.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and ownership.
• Experience mentoring individual contributors across seniority levels and specializations.

Compensation

• Contract is classified as CLT and paid in Brazilian real (BRL).
• Compensation is intended to be fair and competitive, informed by market data and pay bands.
