VP Product, Practice Management
Lead product vision, roadmap, and team for SimplePractice's Practice Management domain, driving platform expansion into larger group practices with automated workflows. Report to CPO and partner cross-functionally to deliver operational tools for clinicians and administrators.
About the job
Responsibilities
Set the Vision and Strategy
- Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for the Practice Management domain, aligned to SimplePractice's platform strategy and growth objectives
- Translate deep customer understanding — across solo practitioners, group practice owners, and administrators — into a differentiated and compelling product strategy
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to identify and capture new customer segments, including larger and more complex group practice organizations
- Champion the evolution toward intelligent, automated practice operations — building toward a future where the platform increasingly takes administrative work off a clinician's plate
Lead and Develop the Team
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, building on a strong existing foundation
- Establish a high-performance culture with clear standards for product craft, strategic thinking, and customer empathy
- Recruit and retain exceptional product talent as the domain scales
Drive Cross-Functional Impact
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and Clinical Strategy to deliver high-quality product experiences at pace
- Work with Sales and Marketing to bring new capabilities to market effectively, with particular focus on SimplePractice's upmarket expansion
- Collaborate with the broader Product Leadership Team to ensure coherent, platform-level outcomes
- Build strong relationships with external integration partners to deepen and expand the practice management ecosystem
Own Outcomes
- Define and track the metrics that matter: adoption, engagement, retention impact, and revenue contribution from your domain
- Communicate clearly to executive leadership and key stakeholders on strategy, progress, and tradeoffs
- Manage a broad portfolio with clarity, sound prioritization, and disciplined execution
Desired Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading high-performing product teams at scale
- Demonstrated success owning a broad, complex product domain — ideally at the intersection of workflow, data, and platform
- Experience driving product-led growth into new customer segments, including close collaboration with Sales and Marketing in a B2B environment
- Background in healthcare, healthtech, or vertical SaaS serving professional service or regulated industries strongly preferred
- A systems thinker who can hold both long-term vision and near-term execution simultaneously, without losing sight of either
- An exceptional communicator who earns trust with executives, cross-functional partners, and their own team alike
- Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining world-class product talent
- High standards for craft, customer impact, and operational excellence — and the ability to instill those standards across a team
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance
- 401(k) plan with company match
- Flexible Time Off (FTO), wellbeing days, paid holidays, and summer Fridays
- Mental health resources
- Paid parental leave & Backup Care
