Staff Manufacturing Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing test readiness for an entire product line.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing operations, and software teams to define requirements and roll out robust, data-driven test sequences.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable manufacturing test equipment, either in-house or with third-party partners.
• Lead production issue investigations using the manufacturing execution system (MES) to analyze factory history and determine root causes.
• Maintain software quality through code reviews and hardware-in-the-loop continuous integration.
• Improve manufacturing processes by eliminating unnecessary steps and making them faster, more reliable, scalable, and less dependent on manual work.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years focused on new product introduction (NPI) test development.
• Strong hands-on Python coding experience for test automation and process tooling.
• Experience defining testing frameworks and strategies for new products.
• Ability to identify critical-to-quality requirements with cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrated root-cause and failure-analysis experience for test and equipment issues.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills across hardware, software, and operations teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment while balancing immediate execution with long-term scalability.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual base salary: $196,000–$257,000.
