Responsibilities
- Build a world-class security experience and next-generation tools for Snowflake engineers.
- Develop elastic, large-scale, highly performant security infrastructure and tooling for distributed, cross-cloud systems.
- Accelerate delivery of high-quality software to production.
- Partner with product managers to define quarterly and long-term team roadmaps.
- Balance current customer needs with emerging technological trends, including AI security and security for AI-driven systems.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment and take strong ownership of outcomes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience developing tools and backend services, preferably in the security space.
- Track record of flawless technical execution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Fluency in at least one of Rust, Python, Golang, Java, C++, or .NET.
- Strategic mindset and strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal English skills.
- Passion for improving developer productivity.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building guardrails, scanning, or policy controls for AI-assisted software development.
- Experience designing and implementing security services and tools.
- Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with enterprise-grade build systems such as Bazel.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems emphasizing reliability, performance, isolation, and security.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with code scanning or cloud scanning.
