Summary

LangChain is seeking a Web Lead to own the strategy, quality, and evolution of its web properties. This role involves leading the web roadmap, coordinating cross-functional web work, managing the CMS, and optimizing conversion rates and SEO.

About the role

What You'll Do

Web Ownership

  • Lead the web roadmap. Maintain a clear, prioritized view of what needs to be built, fixed, or improved across LangChain's web properties, balancing strategic initiatives with ongoing maintenance, quality, and reliability. Translate business priorities into web plans and drive them to completion.
  • Coordinate cross-functional web work. Serve as the central point of contact for web across marketing, education, product marketing, design, and growth engineering. Run the intake, review, and launch process so teams can ship web changes with speed and confidence.
  • Own the site's structural health. Establish and enforce processes for keeping the site accurate, up-to-date, and free of technical debt. This includes governance for page creation and deprecation, content hygiene, and cross-functional intake so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Manage the CMS and tooling stack. Own the relationship with our CMS and web tooling vendors. Ensure the right systems are in place for the team to operate efficiently, and evaluate new tools as the site's needs evolve.

Conversion & Performance

  • Own conversion rate optimization. Develop and execute a CRO program across key pages, including homepage, product pages, pricing, and landing pages. Design and run experiments, analyze results, and translate findings into durable improvements to the site's ability to drive signups, product adoption, and pipeline.
  • Define and track web performance metrics. Establish the reporting framework for how we measure web effectiveness across traffic, engagement, conversion, and downstream impact on product metrics. Own a regular reporting cadence that gives stakeholders a clear view of what's working and where to invest.
  • Partner with demand gen on landing pages. Work closely with marketing to design, build, and optimize campaign landing pages that convert. Bring a disciplined, test-and-learn mindset to paid and organic landing page performance.

SEO

  • Build the bridge between SEO and content. Partner with the content team to ensure editorial and technical content decisions are informed by search data, and that published content is positioned to capture and convert high-intent traffic. Establish shared processes for keyword research, on-page optimization, and performance tracking.
  • Partner with Content on SEO strategy for LangChain's web properties. Help define the organic search strategy across marketing and product pages, working in close partnership with our SEO agency and content team. Prioritize based on search intent, competitive opportunity, and business impact.
  • Own technical SEO. In partnership with engineering, ensure the site's technical foundation supports strong organic performance across site speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, schema markup, and indexing health.

Strategy & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Be the strategic voice on web. Bring a clear point of view to questions like: what should the information architecture look like as we scale? How do we balance developer credibility with commercial clarity? How does the website evolve as the product and company grow?
  • Align web to business goals. Understand what marketing, sales, product, and education need from the site, and translate those needs into a coherent web strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • Strategic operator. You can hold the long-term vision and the day-to-day execution at the same time. You know when to move fast and when to slow down and get alignment.
  • Deep web fluency. You understand how great websites are built; the architecture, the technical foundations, the tooling, and the operational discipline that drives performance.
  • Analytically rigorous. You know how to define what good looks like, instrument it, and use data to make decisions. You're comfortable in analytics platforms and can design and interpret experiments.
  • Developer audience instincts. You understand what earns trust with technical audiences and know how to present LangChain credibly to developers.
  • Collaborative and clear. You'll work across a lot of functions. You're able to build alignment, communicate trade-offs, and keep things moving without needing authority over everyone involved.
