What You'll Do
Be a keen learner:
- Work with cloud-native, highly scalable infrastructure spanning AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and microservices
- Gain expertise in container orchestration, networking, and observability
- Learn from complex, real-world customer use cases
- Work with Go, Python, and Java for infrastructure automation, resilience engineering, and performance tuning
Be a passionate problem solver:
- Debug complex infrastructure issues and optimize cloud performance for Temporal users
- Develop observability solutions using Grafana and Prometheus
- Improve networking including load balancing, DNS, ingress/egress
- Automate infrastructure operations using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Independently drive technical solutions including debugging production issues and designing infrastructure best practices
Be a great communicator:
- Engage directly with developers, engineering teams, and product teams
- Provide solutions that enhance scalability, performance, and reliability
- Influence platform improvements and develop self-service infrastructure solutions
- Serve as a bridge between developers and infrastructure
What You'll Bring
- 9+ years of experience as a developer
- Fluency in one or more of: Python, Java, Golang, TypeScript
- Experience deploying and managing medium to large-scale architectures (Kubernetes or Docker)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and troubleshooting performance/availability issues
- Minimum 1 year experience in an internal or external customer-facing role
- Experience working with or as part of remote teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Previous customer-facing experience (professional services consultant, solutions architect, customer engineer)
- Experience with security certificate management and implementation
- Experience with EKS, GKE, OpenTracing, Terraform, Ansible, CDK
- Ability to translate use cases into Temporal design decisions and architecture best practices
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay range: $170,000 - $215,000
