Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of guest navigation and re-engagement via analysis, research, and granular user action/sequence datasets.
- Partner with product and engineering to drive technical frameworks and science leadership for detecting preferences and quantifying online frictions.
- Write code for prototypes to detect and quantify guest preferences using AI toolkits, data frameworks, models, and artifacts.
- Assess assumptions and efficacy of guest preferences through measurement, hypothesis validation, experiments, and data feedback loops.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership to inform strategy and cross-functional deliverables.
Requirements
- Causal inference expertise with marketplace experience.
- Preferred: domain experience in search, UX discovery, personalized evidence systems.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics or related field.
- 9+ years industry experience with PhD (or 12+ years with Masters).
- Strong communication with cross-functional partners in product, engineering, and design for data-driven development focused on user experience.
- Expert in Python or R for data analysis, SQL familiarity, proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Passion for AI, learner's mindset towards LLMs and dynamic systems.
- Proven success in collaborative and independent environments.
- Track record of engagement with technical community.
Compensation
Base pay range: $224,000—$280,000 USD. Eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
