Responsibilities
- Own revenue-critical event infrastructure, including event streaming pipelines for high throughput and low latency.
- Design scalable data systems with sophisticated ingestion pipelines and query optimization.
- Shape backend architecture using Kotlin and Spring Boot, tackling complex technical challenges.
- Build systems for next phase of growth, focusing on data storage, horizontal scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- Shipped production backend systems with focus on reliability.
- Experience building scalable backends handling significant load, understanding throughput, latency, and cost tradeoffs.
- Strong experience in event-driven architectures, pub/sub systems, event streaming platforms.
- Deep knowledge of data systems, analytical databases, OLAP, columnar storage, indexing, query optimization.
- Owned infrastructure: provisioned cloud resources, infrastructure-as-code, cost modeling and optimization.
