About the role

Responsibilities

Scale and harden AWS infrastructure to meet growing enterprise demand
Analyze request logs, debug event streams, and improve system reliability
Design and build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI platform
Work directly with customers to understand real-world healthcare workflows, scope integrations, and translate requirements into product specs
Build internal tooling to automate workflows and increase team leverage
Write evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in our LLM-powered systems
Work across the stack when needed — from backend services to frontend — to ship complete solutions
Contribute to Anterior's SDKs, developer documentation, and platform architecture

Requirements

Depth in backend and/or infrastructure
Experience building APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and distributed systems
Experience scaling and hardening cloud infrastructure (serious AWS footprint)
Owned system design decisions, shipped to production, operated at scale
Led projects, mentored junior engineers, made architectural decisions
Passion for fundamentals: system design, architecture (pacelc, consistency guarantees), writing code that lasts

Tech Stack

Languages: Python, Go, TypeScript
Frontend: React (HTMX a plus)
Infra: Nix, AWS (CDKTF, migration experience a plus)
