About the role
What You'll Do
- Build High-Density Healthcare Interfaces: Architect dynamic, multi-step medical intake engines, high-density provider charting dashboards, and patient-facing apps that handle sensitive PHI with perfect state synchronization.
- Bridge Clinical & Client: Connect complex backend medication ordering and fulfillment pipelines to intuitive, highly responsive frontend interfaces. Translate dense healthcare requirements into seamless digital experiences.
- Champion the User Experience: Sweat the details of the UI and possess strong product sense to make pragmatic, high-quality design decisions that improve patient outcomes.
- Own the Full Lifecycle: Design database schema, write APIs, build React interfaces, deploy services, and own backend reliability and client-side error tracking in production.
- Build Agentic Workflows: Integrate AI capabilities into the product to automate clinical operations and scale provider workflows.
- Raise the Engineering Bar: Own key architectural decisions, upgrade legacy code, and elevate engineers through code review, testing, and technical standards.
Who You Are
- 5-7+ years of full-stack engineering experience operating high-stakes systems.
- Mastery of client-side state, performance, SSR vs. client-side fetching, caching strategies.
- Strong data modeling, schema design, and API boundaries.
- Full lifecycle ownership including Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, CI/CD.
- Experience using frontier agentic AI tools (e.g., Codex, Claude) in workflows.
- Collaborative with low ego, high standards, excellent communication in cross-functional environments.
Staff Leveling: Demonstrated track record of setting technical direction, navigating ambiguity, leveling up engineers ($280-330K).
Compensation: Base salary $230,000 - $280,000 (open to $280-330K for Staff), plus equity and benefits.
