Responsibilities

  • Translate developer experience signals into program priorities.
  • Synthesize tooling data, measurement outputs, pilot results, and developer feedback into actionable insights.
  • Bring insights into portfolio planning, measurement reviews, and roadmap conversations with partner teams.
  • Turn insights into clear recommendations on where to invest, expand, rationalize, or retire tools and related programs.

Developer Experience Measurement Program

  • Own day-to-day program leadership: coverage, data quality, reporting cadences, and operational use of signals.
  • Partner with Platform Engineering on metrics platform priorities, instrumentation, and data integrity.
  • Build operating mechanisms to make developer experience and tooling data useful for decision-making.
  • Support investment and portfolio decisions with adoption reporting, usage analysis, and impact-oriented recommendations.
  • Evolve measurement model for AI-native work.

Developer Tooling Evaluation, Pilots, and Portfolio Governance

  • Own intake, prioritization, and evaluation workflows for developer tools across SDLC, focusing on AI tooling.
  • Maintain evaluation frameworks, decision criteria, and review mechanisms.
  • Design and run structured pilots with hypotheses, baselines, success criteria, and decision points.
  • Coordinate security review, integration approval, and governance.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Procurement on provisioning, licensing, renewals, and cost visibility.

Compensation (USA-based)

Annual base salary: $115,000 - $161,000 USD, plus benefits (health, dental, 401k), PTO, equity grant, incentive programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading complex cross-functional programs in technical organizations.
  • Background in developer experience, productivity, engineering effectiveness, internal platform programs, or technical program management.
  • Familiarity with AI-accelerated development workflows, tools, adoption, and measurement challenges.
  • Working knowledge of developer productivity frameworks (DORA, SPACE, DX Core 4).
  • Ability to design evaluation frameworks, structure pilots, synthesize quantitative/qualitative inputs into recommendations.
  • Strong judgment in ambiguity, structuring messy inputs, clarifying tradeoffs.
  • Comfort partnering with engineering/technical leaders without being an engineer.
  • Experience coordinating with Security, IT, Finance, Procurement.
  • Strong written/verbal communication for executive recommendations.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with AI developer tools (coding assistants, code review, agent frameworks).
  • Hands-on with developer productivity platforms (DX, Jellyfish, LinearB).
  • Background in software engineering, engineering management, or technical program management.
