Principal, Corporate Development
Leads end-to-end franchise acquisitions for Honor's network, prioritizing territories, executing deals with cross-functional teams, and delivering insights to executives. Requires 5-7 years in corporate development or M&A, deal modeling expertise, and bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
Responsibilities
Territory Prioritization & Transition Strategy
- Assess territories available for sale for attractiveness for Honor, taking into account growth potential and operational considerations, and prioritize transactions
- Develop territory valuation, in collaboration with Finance and Operational teams, that informs our bidding strategy
- Develop negotiation strategy, deal terms and LOI for transaction
- Over the medium term, develop desired transaction roadmap and territories/regions to focus for future acquisitions to inform go forward network shaping strategy
Deal Process Leadership
- Lead end-to-end franchise acquisition processes—from indication of interest to transaction close
- Lead a thorough cross-functional due diligence process and vet target territories with input from key stakeholder teams such as Finance, Operations, Legal
- Develop and enhance transaction playbook for executing transactions, with a view towards improving speed of transaction and ROI/likelihood of success post close
- Execute each transaction end to end (in line with the playbook) with excellence and bringing key stakeholder teams along every step of the journey
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Track, analyze, and present KPIs across acquired territories
- Identify key gaps and opportunities, relative to deal thesis and identify action plan, in concert with finance and operating teams
- Deliver sharp, actionable insights to executive leadership that drive data-informed decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5–7 years experience in management consulting, corporate development, small business M&A, mid-market private equity, or corporate strategy roles
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional projects with a diverse stakeholder organizations [Operations, Legal, Finance] and delivering impact is required
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage deal models and assess valuations
- Proven success driving transactions with banks, private equity, or other institutional investors preferred
- Experience in franchise M&A is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with advanced AI based tools [e.g., Claude Cowork] is a plus

Compensation: Base pay range $178,200 - $198,000. Equity and 401K with up to 4% match. Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
