About the role
Responsibilities
Own Novig's social content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Meta, Reddit, and Discord.
Set editorial direction, content pillars, brand voice, visual taste, and publishing standards.
Manage and develop internal social sports journalists, producers, and contributors.
Establish editorial cadences, planning sessions, series mapping, and format ideation.
Analyze performance across platforms and formats to determine what to scale or cut.
Execute content for live events, breaking news, and same-day trends when needed.
Collaborate with Design and Creative to extend the design system across brand channels.
Partner with creators, affiliates, professional teams, and collaborators on content.
Own the social technology stack, including data feeds, alerts, automations, and workflows.
Turn successful initiatives into repeatable growth playbooks.
Help develop original programming, series, and franchises focused on sports and internet culture.
Requirements
Creator-first approach with the ability to write posts, brief edits, and ship content directly when necessary.
Strong editorial judgment, cultural awareness, and real-time decision-making ability.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment tied to live sports, including potential nights and weekends.
Ability to build teams, systems, and scalable content processes.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000–$180,000.
