Member of Technical Staff, Release Engineer
Own and improve the CI/CD, testing, and deployment infrastructure that enables fast, safe, observable releases at scale. The role requires strong distributed-systems expertise, hands-on Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code experience, and a track record of measurable cross-team improvements.

Responsibilities
- Map the release architecture across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure layers.
- Baseline CI, testing, and deployment performance; identify failure modes and ship initial improvements.
- Own the release-tooling roadmap and operating health.
- Remove CI and deployment bottlenecks and improve observability and diagnosis.
- Automate slow or failure-prone workflows and establish reliable release paths.
- Build self-service workflows, guardrails, and passive defenses for safe releases.
- Define the longer-term release-infrastructure roadmap and measure improvements in validation time, deployment speed, and reliability.
- Partner with product and infrastructure engineers to drive cross-team improvements.
Requirements
- Experience owning critical CI/CD or release infrastructure at meaningful scale and driving measurable improvements.
- Strong distributed-systems fundamentals and the ability to diagnose failures across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure layers.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based delivery systems and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Argo CD, Terraform, and Atlantis or comparable tools.
- Strong automation, testing, observability, and data-driven reliability practices.
- Ability to gather context quickly, form clear technical opinions, communicate effectively, and own outcomes.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools.
Nice to Have
- SRE experience.
- Experience with multi-agent workflows.
- Experience with TypeScript and Go.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $235,000–$280,000, plus meaningful equity ownership.
