Responsibilities
- Lead development and maintenance of platform software modules.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
- Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements and best practices.
- Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and help shape the technical vision.
- Build and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and security of web services and ETL jobs.
- Address technical debt, refactor code, and improve software development processes.
- Track industry trends and share knowledge about ETL and API development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of software development experience focused on backend development, ETL job design and development, or Web Service API development.
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot, or comparable expertise in Python and Pandas.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on AWS Lambda development in Python.
- Experience with Java or Python libraries.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Flexible paid time off policies.
- Annual compensation of $100,000 - $150,000 per year.
