Senior Instructional Designer

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs analysis with technical training leaders and subject matter experts to identify performance and knowledge gaps and translate them into structured learning solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain modular technical learning experiences for the security organization, including self-paced content, live sessions, practice activities, job aids, and role-specific onboarding assets.
• Assess training effectiveness through learner feedback, knowledge validation, and performance signals; use findings to refine content and improve learning outcomes.
• Coordinate with security subject matter experts to ensure training reflects accurate, current detection and response knowledge.
• Deliver instructor-led training selectively in live virtual and onboarding formats when appropriate for the learning objective, audience, or operational need.
• Translate operational realities, product behavior, and tribal knowledge into clear, accurate documentation practitioners can trust during live cases and investigations.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, developing, and delivering technical training in cybersecurity or a similarly complex technical environment.
• Content creation should be the primary focus, with instructor-led facilitation as a secondary but important responsibility.
• Ability to translate technical security concepts into clear, accessible learning experiences for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where programs are still being built and structure must be created independently.
• Familiarity with modern training tools and learning management systems.
• Ability to move between facilitation and content creation without losing momentum.

Compensation and Benefits

• $105,000 to $140,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.
