Responsibilities
- Establish the technical roadmap and architectural vision for fleet connectivity, including observability, security, and reliability of cellular network components and network software during robot startup and autonomous operation.
- Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant connectivity solutions and lead software efforts for next-generation platforms.
- Lead high-impact technical initiatives with hardware, autonomy, operations, and other stakeholder teams to define requirements and implement connectivity strategies.
- Develop analysis tools, dashboards, and automation frameworks to track, measure, and optimize connectivity trends from operational data.
- Provide high-level design guidance, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and serve as the team’s technical authority.
- Evaluate connectivity hardware modules and work with modems and commercial cellular networks to maximize throughput and stability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including a proven track record as a technical lead on complex software projects.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into detailed, cohesive system designs spanning multiple components.
- Deep expertise debugging and tooling cellular modems, Linux network stacks, and networking protocols.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Compensation
- Base pay range: $193,930–$291,150.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
