Responsibilities
- Design and implement an efficient video-streaming pipeline using state-of-the-art techniques for high-priority, real-time data streams.
- Build an offline streaming simulation and emulation framework to iterate on video-streaming algorithms and predict online performance.
- Test systems in real-world environments, gather feedback, and drive innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on on-road network-metric collection.
- Build the core communication system and cloud platform connecting vehicles and remote operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field, with 4+ years of relevant industry experience; or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Go.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, socket programming, congestion control, and computer networking.
- Strong communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with video-streaming frameworks such as WebRTC.
- Understanding of video codecs, including VP8, VP9, H.264, and H.265.
Compensation
- Base salary range: $193,930–$291,150.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
