About the role

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of Account Executives, managing daily operations, setting performance expectations, and fostering a high-achievement culture.
  • Partner with Sales Strategy, Marketing, and Sales Development teams for territory mapping and pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Solutions Engineering to onboard customers and refine the customer journey.
  • Work with Product, Marketing, and Commercial leadership to define Ideal Customer Profile and drive customer-first mentality.
  • Build foundations of Sales at Notion, including sales-assisted motions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a direct sales leader/manager in Enterprise/Strategic Accounts.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets individually and across teams.
  • Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Strong leadership skills focused on empowerment, collaboration, and inspiration.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and pace of early-stage startups.
  • Growth mindset, high EQ, analytical problem-solving, customer empathy, and understanding of recurring revenue models.
  • Curious about AI tools.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience building new business and expansion sales playbooks or processes.
  • First or early hire at a fast-growing startup.
  • Experience using Salesforce for forecasting.
  • Experienced in hiring and training at scale.
  • Ability to function as "Player/Coach".
  • Strong perspective on sales strategies for product-led growth (PLG) companies.

Compensation

Estimated total on-target earnings (base + incentive): $350,000 - $400,000 per year (San Francisco or New York City).
