Lead financial forecasting for datacenter capex, opex, and cash flows. Build models and run scenario analysis to guide site sequencing, deals, and capital raises at a high-velocity AI infrastructure company. Own the datacenter financial forecast
- Own capex, opex, and cash forecasts across every site and scenario.
- Build the forecasting engine, drivers, models, and systems that convert build plans into financial projections.
- Run scenario analysis to inform leadership decisions on sequencing sites, deals, and capital raises.
- Partner closely with delivery, development, and accounting teams to ensure forecasts reflect operational reality.
Requirements
- Led financial forecasting for capital-intensive infrastructure (data centers, energy, telecom, or real assets).
- Built driver-based capex models used for board-level decisions.
- Forecasts are consistently validated against actuals, with gaps shrinking quarterly.
- Proactively obtain operational truth behind numbers rather than accepting submissions.
- Built and led a small high-output team.
Nice-to-Haves
- Deep knowledge of data center cost structures.
- Experience with project finance interfaces.
- Proficiency with Pigment or Anaplan.
- Familiarity with Monte Carlo methods.
