PalantirPalantir

Web Design Engineer

Build and maintain Palantir.com and Next.js microsites using TypeScript, React, and Next.js. Establish design systems, advise on UX/accessibility/SEO, and ship secure, production-grade frontend experiences.

About the job

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Palantir.com
  • Build and ship Next.js microsites, from mocks through to production
  • Establish and maintain the design system and shared components other content creators build on
  • Advise designers and content creators on web, UX, accessibility, and SEO best practices
  • Iterate with our Legal team on ongoing requirements as laws and the web evolve
  • Work with the rest of the Communications team to drive traffic with brand campaigns
  • Develop, review, and ship within our CI pipeline, maintaining its threat model as risks evolve

Technologies We Use

  • TypeScript and React with Next.js for frontend development
  • A combination of open-source and internal technologies that suit the problems at hand
  • Fast content delivery
  • Industry-standard build tooling, including GitHub and CircleCI

What We Value

  • Eye for detail: part of the role is making sure the content being brought forward cleanly aligns with other content on the website
  • Design sensibility: keeping every web touchpoint of the brand coherent and well presented
  • Cross-functional communication: working across the whole business bringing other teams' stories forward; the ability to translate between non-technical stakeholders and implementation matters
  • Juggling priorities: ability to move several projects forward at once without dropping quality on any of them
  • Ownership: this role carries a lot of independence, and with it responsibility for the outcomes that independence produces
  • A drive to raise the level around you: teaching teammates and building things others can run with

What We Require

  • 2 Years of experience with frontend design
  • Web fundamentals: accessibility, performance, uptime, SEO
  • Frontend proficiency: TypeScript, React, Next.js
  • Design/visual competence: Figma fluency, ability to take mocks to production
