Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day legal contact for institutional investors and asset managers, advising on compliance risks across live transactions.
- Analyze complex transaction structures, identify counterparties, and assess AML, bribery and corruption, financial crime, and reputational risks.
- Review fund structures, SPVs, partnerships, and trusts to map corporate ownership and fund flows.
- Coordinate with deal teams, legal, compliance, and counterparties to gather materials and complete reviews on time.
- Work with clients' legal and compliance teams to ensure transactions meet AML/CTF regulations, internal policies, and jurisdictional requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer licensed to practice in the UK or Europe; comparable jurisdictions may be considered.
- 4–6+ years of post-qualification experience in regulatory or investment compliance.
- Experience representing asset managers, institutional investors, or other financial services clients.
- Strong knowledge of complex asset management structures, including fund structures, SPVs, offshore vehicles, and multi-jurisdictional counterparties.
- Ability to act as a client-facing contact in a fast-paced financial services environment.
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
