The Compliance Manager will advise on complex crypto and stablecoin compliance matters, partner with business and GTM teams, and shape automated, agentic compliance solutions. The role requires 9+ years of financial crimes compliance experience, strong commercial judgment, and technical fluency.

Responsibilities
- Partner with GTM and business teams on complex user deals to identify compliance roadblocks and design risk-aligned paths forward.
- Drive local adoption and development of automated compliance tools and agents; surface nuances, provide improvement feedback, and ensure reliable operation for first-line teams.
- Serve as the human-in-the-loop for novel challenges and high-stakes edge cases, applying first-principles thinking to regulatory ambiguity.
- Explain intricate compliance requirements to users and first-line teams with clarity and empathy.
- Architect user and internal workflows—including funds flows, data collection, and API integrations—that meet compliance obligations while minimizing friction.
- Analyze complex edge cases to distinguish unfamiliar situations from unsafe ones while maintaining the company’s risk appetite.
- Communicate the company’s compliance approach to internal and external stakeholders, including Regional Compliance Officers and MLROs.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in financial crimes compliance, including significant experience in crypto and stablecoins.
- Technical understanding sufficient to identify automation opportunities and shape agentic compliance solutions.
- Curiosity and ability to develop robust, risk-based opinions where clear precedent is unavailable.
- Experience evaluating complex user requests for compliance risk and implementing creative, compliant solutions with business stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including translating complex compliance concepts into clear commercial language.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to navigate leadership and interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in ambiguous, fast-paced, increasingly agentic environments.
Nice to Have
- CAMS, CRCM, or equivalent certification.
- Experience in a hyper-growth technology or fintech environment.
- Working knowledge of crypto regulatory frameworks and standard AML and sanctions practices.
- Understanding of compliance matters relevant to financial technology companies.
- Experience leveraging LLMs or automated AI tooling to scale compliance work.
