Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product and business strategy.
- Build novel products and features for Reddit’s Comments page and related conversation experiences.
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Review code, design documents, product specifications, and mocks; provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in team strategy and future planning.
- Improve developer workflows through engineering standards and best practices.
- Balance rapid delivery with software quality and reliability.
- Continue developing technical and non-technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of post-internship, full-time professional software development experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- 3+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC basics.
- Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-directed, innovative, action-oriented approach in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $164,000–$229,000 USD.
- Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units; select positions may also be eligible for commission.
