About the role
What You’ll Do
Own the company financial modeling, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
Create a strong startup finance reporting cadence, reviewing growth, retention, etc.
Help define how finance works for an AI-native company, including modeling inference costs, infrastructure efficiency, and next-generation unit economics.
Manage cash flow, runway, and support fundraising efforts.
Build and maintain clear reporting for leadership, investors, and the board.
Establish and run core accounting processes (monthly close, financial statements, audits).
Oversee payroll, AP/AR, tax filings, and external accounting partners.
Implement financial controls and ensure compliance as we scale.
Develop key metrics and dashboards to track business performance.
Act as the primary finance partner to GTM, Engineering, and Operations leaders.
Partner with GTM to build and optimize revenue operations, including pipeline tracking, forecasting accuracy, and sales efficiency metrics.
Negotiate with vendors to get us preferred rates on various costs.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience (ideally 3+) in SaaS / AI-type business, to understand the nature of software accounting.
Bonus if spent time at Seed-Series B stage startup.
Built and owned financial models used for real business decisions (e.g., fundraising, pricing, or forecasting).
Experience managing or overseeing accounting operations.
Ability to operate independently and build systems from scratch.
Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with significant ownership.
Clear communicator who can translate financial insights into business decisions.
Located in or willing to relocate to Boston (preferred), DC, or NY. This is a fully on-site position.
