Senior Data Engineer
The Senior Data Engineer will build and operate trusted pipelines, governed metrics, and self-service analytics for clinical and operational data. The role requires 5+ years of production data engineering experience, strong Snowflake, SQL, and Python skills, and comfort owning data quality end to end.

Responsibilities
- Build and operate pipelines that ingest, validate, and transform clinical and operational data at scale.
- Partner with engineering, clinical, and product teams to design actionable dashboards and analytics.
- Apply best practices for data warehousing, orchestration, governance, and role-based access control.
- Build file-based ingestion pipelines for external data sources, including automated validation, triggering, and error handling.
- Implement data validation frameworks using Python or TypeScript.
- Design SQL and dbt transformation layers to standardize and cleanse raw data.
- Build and maintain governed metrics and analytical schemas that support customer and third-party verification.
- Enable tiered self-service analytics for technical and non-technical employees.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a production data engineering role.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience, including data modeling, performance tuning, and warehouse administration.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, or data warehouses in modern cloud environments.
- Understanding of data validation, schema design, and scalable architecture.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and present to cross-functional teams.
- Experience owning production pipelines end to end and applying data observability and quality practices.
Nice-to-haves
- Early-stage startup experience.
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or finance.
- Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base compensation: $200,000–$250,000 per year, excluding equity or bonus targets.
