Motion Designer
The Motion Designer will define and evolve Baseten’s brand motion language while producing high-craft work across launches, campaigns, social, web, events, and out-of-home experiences. The role requires an exceptional portfolio, strong visual and storytelling fundamentals, and the ability to lead projects from concept through final production.

Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the motion language for the Baseten brand.
- Create high-craft motion work across product launches, social content, campaigns, web, events, and out-of-home advertising.
- Concept and produce video content that makes technical products compelling.
- Develop work at different scales, from short social clips to large-scale campaigns.
- Partner with brand designers to bring identity systems, typography, illustration, and product storytelling to life through motion.
- Experiment with new formats, tools, techniques, and emerging technology.
- Build motion systems and principles that scale across the company.
- Collaborate with product and product marketing on launches.
- Raise the quality bar for motion work across the company.
Requirements
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong motion, visual design, and craft.
- Strong fundamentals in typography, composition, pacing, sound, and storytelling.
- Ability to own projects end to end, including concepting, storyboarding, design, animation, and final production.
- Range across brand systems, product storytelling, campaign work, and experimental concepts.
- Strong judgment about when to use simple, precise motion versus more unconventional approaches.
- Ability to articulate opinions about motion and brand effectiveness.
- Enthusiasm for technical products and ability to communicate complex ideas without relying on generic AI imagery.
- Comfort with ownership, ambiguity, and a high quality bar.
- Interest in building a brand rather than only executing an existing system.
