About the role
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Global Threat Assessment Program (GTAP) within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with Airbnb’s mission.
Manage threat assessment cases end-to-end: triage incoming reports, conduct investigations and structured threat assessments, develop incident management plans, and drive cases to resolution.
Maintain rigorous case documentation in accordance with GTAP standards.
Maintain regional situational awareness, tracking developing situations and ensuring relevant information reaches stakeholders timely.
Coordinate with the Global Operations Manager and other Regional Operations Managers for consistency across regions.
Track regional caseload metrics including volume, time-to-triage, time-to-resolution, and SLA adherence; provide data for program-wide reporting.
Identify regional throughput issues, patterns, spikes in case types, emerging threat profiles, and escalation triggers; raise with analysis and proposed actions.
Establish and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders, law enforcement, investigative groups, and vendors to exchange threat information and minimize risks.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in threat assessment, investigations, law enforcement, intelligence, or a closely related field.
Hands-on experience independently triaging, assessing, and managing cases involving targeted violence, stalking, harassment, or comparable subjects.
Solid documentation discipline with clear, accurate case notes that withstand legal and operational scrutiny.
Clear written and verbal communication skills to summarize complex cases for non-expert stakeholders and present recommended actions confidently.
Background in law enforcement, corporate security, intelligence, or technology company trust and safety with case management.
Experience in a globally distributed team with cross-regional collaboration.
Mastery of open source research and online investigative techniques.
Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally.
Creative and entrepreneurial mindset with a positive attitude and hunger for learning.
Willingness and ability to travel within the region as needed.
Demonstrated commitment to Airbnb’s core values.
