About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Field Engineering, Sales, and CSM teams to lead customers to success through troubleshooting, custom use cases, and solution design.
  • Educate and enable technical admins to configure and maintain Sourcegraph environments using best practices.
  • Optimize internal customer success metrics by partnering with technical admins and users.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to drive product improvements based on customer learnings.
  • Create content with Marketing based on customer experience and findings.
  • Iterate on processes, templates, and tools to improve customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Work experience in a technical, customer-facing role with deep understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and AI coding landscape.
  • Strong scripting abilities across a wide variety of languages and frameworks.
  • Experience running large-scale migrations, code modernizations, refactors, and/or platform upgrades.
  • Experience delivering highly technical solutions to customers or internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify issues/opportunities and design solutions, with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineers, management, champions, and administrators.
  • Experience providing technical training to customers on product features, troubleshooting, configuration, and best practices.
  • Organized approach to scoping, planning, and managing multiple customer engagements concurrently.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with diverse application environments, on-premise, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Working hours must overlap with 8am-4pm PT for at least 10 hours/week.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience deploying, managing, or optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs) in production.
  • DevRel, DevEx, or Developer Advocate experience.
