Responsibilities
- Lead the Fintech Platform engineering team responsible for a ledger supporting multiple fintech products.
- Integrate with banking partners and lenders, and scale the fintech platform to meet growing demand.
- Build and operate robust, fault-tolerant systems of record that cannot tolerate missing data.
- Own team outcomes, foster accountability, and create a culture of open communication and psychological safety.
- Establish feedback loops and coach engineers toward career growth.
- Guide speed-versus-quality tradeoffs and make technical reasoning explicit.
Requirements
- 10+ years of combined software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a technical people manager.
- Experience working with payments systems.
- Experience building and operating complex systems of record.
- Experience with cloud platforms and data systems, including AWS, S3, or Aurora Postgres.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Experience with double-entry accounting.

Compensation and Benefits
- Washington salary range: $237,000–$296,700 plus target bonus.
