Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise platform primitives, including organizations, workspaces, roles, permissions, SSO/SAML, and audit logging.
- Build usage-based billing, invoicing, and payment infrastructure for self-serve and enterprise procurement workflows.
- Improve platform security and reliability through access control, data isolation, observability, scalability, and compliance groundwork.
- Design scalable backend architectures and APIs for multi-tenant, team-based usage patterns.
- Build polished React/Next.js interfaces for administration, billing, and workspace management.
- Translate customer, sales, and security-review requirements into shipped platform features.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for billing, authentication, and compliance tooling.
- Establish enterprise engineering practices as the first hire in the function and help shape the future team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping and owning production systems at scale.
- Strong system design and data modeling skills, including APIs, permission models, multi-tenancy, and data isolation.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure and platform work, such as cloud architecture, observability, scaling, or reliability engineering.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- Strong B2B product sense and communication skills, including the ability to participate in customer security reviews and sales calls.
Nice to Have
- Experience with payments or billing systems, including subscriptions, usage-based billing, invoicing, and disputes.
- Experience with SSO/SAML, RBAC, audit logging, SOC 2, or GDPR groundwork.
- Experience building for enterprise customers and navigating procurement or security-review cycles.
- Startup experience or ownership of a large product surface from 0 to 1.

- Total compensation of $500k+ including base salary, bonus, and equity.
